Elizabeth Levy, MD JD

Elizabeth Levy has a medical-legal background. She is a graduate of the USC Keck School of Medicine and the UC Irvine School of Law. As a second-year internal medicine resident at LAC+USC Medical Center she was diagnosed with cancer and took an extended break from clinical training. Instead of returning to residency, she decided to pursue full-time interdisciplinary work focusing on the social determinants of health. In 2017 she founded Physicians for Justice, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to facilitating cross-professional collaboration between doctors and lawyers.
